Graduates of our department pursue two main paths after graduation — advanced studies and employment.
For those interested in further education, many continue their studies in graduate programs related to Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science, Nuclear Engineering, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Pollution Control, Radiation Biology, and Marine Chemistry.
Our alumni enjoy a wide range of career opportunities. Many work in leading industries such as semiconductors (e.g., TSMC, UMC), biotechnology, and nanotechnology. Others are employed in chemical and petrochemical companies, engaging in research and development, production, or management. Some enter fields related to chemical products and instrumentation sales, or environmental protection, focusing on waste analysis and treatment.
In addition, a number of graduates serve as teachers at various educational levels — from universities and technical colleges to high schools, junior highs, and elementary schools. Others work in government agencies, taking on roles in research, analysis, and administration.
